Our Mission
Gaden Khachoe Shing is a Buddhist monastery dedicated to preserving the Buddha's teachings as transmitted through the Gelukpa lineage of Tibet, for the benefit of all beings. The lineage was founded by the great Master Je Tsonghkapa in the 15th century in Tibet. The monastery is located in Bloomington, Indiana. It officially opened in 2007 under the spiritual direction of the Venerable Kuten (Choijin) Lama and with the blessings of the great lineage protector Dorje Shugden and many important lineage masters. This was possible because of the support and generosity of our monks, board members, many sangha members and dharma friends.
Regular schedules
- Sundays, 10AM: Introductory to Buddhism
- Sundays, 2.30PM: Dharma discourse
- The 10th and 25th of the lunar month we make Tsog offerings.

Gaden KhachoeShing Monastery very blessed and honored with Upcoming visit of revered and highly respected Teacher Venerable Gonsar Tulku Rinpoche from July 3-14th 2024.
Venerable Gonsar Rinpoche at the age of six, he began recognized as reincarnation and began his tradtional studies at Sera monastery university. He had studied under Ven. Geshe Rabten and many highly revered masters Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang etc. In 1974 he came to Swizerland with his Master Ven. Geshe Rabten. After his Master's parinirvana, he continue to lead and teach in Center for higher Studies in Switzerland as well as centers in many other counteries...
